Traces of our beings

reduced to holes in the walls

Inches of our existence

boxed into 167 cartons (and 10 other suitcases)

There will be remains

of the taped posters on my wall

There will be remains, at least

before they renovate the space

Emptied cupboards and shelves,

emptied out to nest a new guest

Packing each thing,

off to a new dawn

We set about with a heavy,

yet a happy heart :)
